Who we are

Who are we?

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) works to improve health care for women everywhere, by setting standards for clinical practice, providing doctors with training and lifelong learning, and advocating for women’s health care worldwide.

As part of this work, we undertake national audits and other quality improvement projects on a range of topics in women’s health care through the Lindsay Stewart Centre for Audit and Clinical Informatics.

The maternity indicators shown on this site have been developed by the RCOG’s Lindsay Stewart Centre in collaboration with the Department of Health Services Research and Policy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
